Wild Waves Theme Park to Close After Final 2026 Season
Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way announced that its 2026 season will be the park’s final year of operation. The popular attraction—open since 1977—will run its full schedule beginning May 23, 2026, and officially close to the public on November 1, 2026.

Premier Parks President and Owner Kieran Burke said the decision comes after years of rising operational costs and financial losses since reopening post-COVID. Despite the closure, Burke confirmed that the park plans to deliver a full and memorable final season, including summer waterpark operations and its annual Fright Fest celebration.
Wild Waves currently employs about 35 full-time and 800 seasonal staff members. All 2026 season passes, group events, and ticket packages will be honored.
Jeff Stock of EPI Realty Holdings, owner of the property, expressed appreciation for the park’s legacy and noted that redevelopment plans for the site are in early stages, with more details to come as the project moves through planning and community review.
